ECHA Classification and labelling inventory

One month after first putting a substance on the market (the deadline for 1st December 2010 is 3rd January 2011) its CLP-classification and -labelling must be notified to ECHA for their C&L Inventory (details of the notification process here). This refers to importers and manufacturers of substances, who place substances on the market as such or in mixtures. The ECHA has made clear (see ECHA FAQs) that "pure" formulators are not subjected to this requirement.

The ECHA has now published the classification and labelling inventory based on the approximately 3 million notifications of about 100,000 substances. The data are unfortunately not published in a list like Annex VI of the CLP Regulation rather than a search mask. Currently, only the data according to GHS (without P-phrases) are included. The corresponding data according to the Substance Directive (DSD) will follow.

In anticipation of the planned harmonization of classification and labelling all notified combinations are displayed sorted by the number of notifiers.
